Built in 1140, Hedingham Castle on the Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge border is one of the best preserved examples of a Norman Keep.
The castle is now home to the Lindsay family, the descendants of the Earls of Oxford who built it. The castle, landscaped gardens and tea room are open on select days throughout the year.
There is also a packed programme of events including outdoor film screenings, jousts, gigs, workshops, murder mysteries and more!
The nearest train stations are Braintree and Sudbury. Buses stop five minutes' from the castle. See the exclusive offers available only when you go by public transport.
